7 Myths About University And Their Reality.

We listen a lot about university life in our routine, and some of them should be termed as myths, rather than facts. Here are 7 myths about universities and their reality.

1. “Admission Le Lo Bas Phir To Chill Scene he”:
This right here is thee biggest delusion of aspiring university students. In fact, at some point all of us believe in this myth because we are continuously inculcated with the thinking that everything is smooth once we get into a good university. All this being said, we should always keep in our minds that every step upward requires more energy and effort

2. You’ll get to meet your “pakke sache yaar” as soon as you get in:
In University you’re going meet different people. And understanding people is something that needs time. You’ll spend time with specific people and will realise that squad is not just a group of people you’re chilling and hanging out with. In fact you need friends to be with you through every thick and thin. And you’ll not find such sincere people that easily. But once you find them, make sure they stay.

3. You Can Only Get a Job If Your An ‘A-Grader’:
Although your grades play important role for getting a job, but of course it is not the only factor that matters; there are many other factors, much more important than grades. Such as, your communication skills, level of commitment and your overall personality.

4. You Have To Be Hard On Yourself In Order To Achieve Your Goals:
It’s true that success never comes easily but it doesn’t mean that you have to study 24/7 to achieve it. Achieving your goals is much more easier if you enjoy your work instead of thinking it as a burden. Work hard but treat yourself once a while also. In university you must opt smart work instead of hard work.

5. If You Like Your Field, You Must Be Good At It:
A big NO! There’s a difference between what you like, and what you are capable of. Sometimes we merely like a field because you’ve heard of it by your family and friends. Aur maybe it sounds charming to you. But as soon as you get you into it, you realise that it’s not actually what you want, or maybe you find it harder than you thought it would be. Similarly, sometimes you’re good at something and you’re capable of doing it but you apparently don’t like doing it. So make sure you choose a field where both your interest and abilities lie!

6. You Can’t Perform Well In Studies If You Join Societies:
Pfft, seriously? University life is quite diverse. You’ll always find a way to prove yourself and your talent. Whether it’s a community service, art or technical knowledge; societies will help you improve a lot. It’s all about time management. University is much more than a degree. It’s makes you learn about yourself, your life and people. So It’s better that you learn to manage things as soon as possible.

7. Higher The Merit Of Degree, More Is The Scope/ Value:
Now it’s obviously not true! The world ‘scope’ doesn’t really not belongs just your degree or the university you’re enrolled in. THE WORD SCOPE ACTUALLY IS RELATED TO THE TALENT YOU HAVE AND THE EFFORT YOU PUT IN. So next time when someone tries to tells you about the worth of your degree, you should come up with the good comeback! 😉
